HS2 community fund award visit to Amersham Museum

To celebrate £1.19m of successful funding awards being made to community (and business) projects across Buckinghamshire, HS2 visited Amersham Mobile Museum to see how their recent award of £16,080 would be spent. They were joined Cathy Elliott, Independent Chair of CEF and BLEF.

HS2’s Community and Environment Fund has been running since March 2017 and has seen 51 projects from across the county receive funding awards. This government-backed community funding programme was created to add benefit to communities affected by Phase One of HS2 and are supporting a diverse range of projects. Buckinghamshire has received successful funding awards to enable the refurbishing of community centres, creation of nature & conservation areas, improvements at sporting facilities, and improved health and wellbeing services.
